full length comic nightmare)
While traveling through
Eastern Europe, A Jewish-American and her adolescent daughter are caught in the
twisted web of passion between Baba Yaga, the cannibal ogress of Prague and a
dying Franz Kafka.
Minimal set and lighting requirements, stylistically
combining Magical Realism with Grand Guignol, the title character may be played
by either male, female, cross gender, or life size puppet.
Staged concert readings given at the Yale Connection and The
Black Dahlia with Rae Allen, Pam Gordon and Spenser Beglarian at various venues in the title roles. Directed by Ellen Sandler and Asaad Kelada
respectively.

(A tragic comedy in two acts)
At her father's deathbed in a callous
Fort Lauderdale hospital, and in light of her own failing marriage, Rhonda S. is forced to question the true value of her parents 60 year commitment.
Staged readings given at the ITA Theater,
and Yale Connection. Role of Minnie Fimmelman played
by Helen Slayton Hughes. Simple
set, minimal requirements.

LAST DANCE
(A Ten Minute play)
Based on Anton Chekhov's short story, "A Man and his Horse". A woman is unable to share her grief over
her only son's death in Iraq, until she participates in a round robin at a
Zydeco dance camp.
Produced as part of the Mercy
Plays Series at the Center Stage in NYC.

THE SHADOW OF BETH
(A play in one act)
Larry Merkin, a hack
television director, showers mental and verbal abuse on his older wife, a
former great star of the English stage, resulting in her huge weight gain and
revelatory mental breakdown. A tragic comedy.
Produced at the Ivy
Substation by the Yale Connection and directed by Marc Travis with Alan
Rosenberg (President of SAG) as Larry.
